Hyper seborrhoea is a cause of acne resulting from increased activity and size of the sebaceous glands following hormonal modifications, a sub-optimal hygiene, dietary imbalances, circulation disorders or lack of exfoliation.

Hyperseborrhea is then accompanied by the proliferation of microbial flora, in particular Propionibacterium acnes which encounters a territory more than favourable for its growth in the space of the sebaceous pores.

This is followed by irritation phenomena that can sometimes lead to inflammation. F-ACN contains vitamins (B5 & B6) to reduce inflammation and redness related to acne.

Hyaluronic acid brings hydration while ZnPCA answer to the problems of oily skin with a tendency to acne.

Zinc is one of the minerals widely studied and used for acne treatments majorly due to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties.

Zinc helps with healing rashes, rejuvenation, wards off the itchy scalp and works as an antioxidant. Considerable scientific research has shown that zinc reduces sebum secretion by inhibiting 5-alpha-reductase.

Seborrhea regulation is androgen-dependent, in particular by testosterone.

Every target cell of the sebaceous gland contains an enzyme, 5 alpha-reductase, that converts testosterone into dihydroxytestosterone (DHT). DHT acts on the activity of the hair follicle, causing the stimulation of the sebaceous gland and the resulting increase in sebum production. In order to increase its efficacy and bio-availability to cells, we combine zinc with L-pyrrolidone carboxylic acid (L-PCA), a natural physiological molecule that also has a fundamental place in the biochemistry of the skin.

PCA is considered a physiological moisturizer in cosmetology. Carboxylic acids are used for several skincare benefits, including topical treatments like acne, rosacea, warts, eczema and psoriasis. Zinc PCA controls acne and reduces the secretion of sebum (a physio-sebo regulator) by oily skin, and helps in retaining the skin humidity by strengthening the barrier of skin.
